Photography Background

I have worked as a professional photographer since 2015, specializing in photography for content creators, brands, and interiors. I started out doing weddings, portraits, engagement, family photos, newborn photos— anything photography related, I have tried it! I found my niche and started my business as fashion photographer for bloggers because at the time— blogging was still new! I discovered I loved shooting movement, fun bright colors, crazy angles. I grew so much in this area and met so many amazing people in the industry that have opened many doors for me to work with known brands.

I have been so incredibly lucky to work with brands and content creators throughout the years and what makes me the happiest is seeing their follower count, engagement and likes grow just by the photos and content that we are able to create together. I love making their instagram and website stand out from others. So I’m always learning and growing not only for myself but for my clients.

I always tell my clients, I don’t settle for backgrounds. I’m not in this field just to make money. I have a true passion for every single image I capture and I’ll make sure that shows. I feel like that’s what makes my work stand out. I don’t have a particular style when it comes to editing, we will work together to find your aesthetic and bring that to life.

Personal Background

I was born in 1990 in Fort Worth, Texas and am a first generation American. My parents are from a small country in Asia called, Laos. Although I was raised Laotian, my DNA test says I’m also half Vietnamese!

I am married to the love of my life who I met and started dating when we were just 15 years old, Nicholas. We have been married since 2013 and have two fur children. He has made me who I am today, we grew together for the past 15 years. I love that he genuinely makes me a better person in all areas.

He has been my biggest supporter when it came to even trying photography. I remember the first years when we started dating— he would surprise me with some kind of camera, then throughout the years it upgraded when we could afford it. I started with a Canon Powershot to the Canon T3i, to the Canon 6D (that I shot with for over 5 years when starting my business) then finally made the upgrade in 2019 to an awesome mirrorless camera from Canon.

MOVIES + TV

Movie: Train to Busan, it’s a movie I still think about!
TV: Julia on HBO Max. We just finished it and I immediately googled when season 2 is coming out. It’s a feel good show about Julia Child.
Currently finished Extraordinary Attorney Woo on Netflix. I loved it!!
Of all time: Crash Landing on You- If you haven’t watched a k-drama before, start here. It’s so heartwarming and has a story that will make you want to binge watch each episode.

MUSIC

Current: I’ve been loving Busty and the Bass’ latest album. It’s so good!
Of all time: Birdy.
